EAG road rally, part III:
The last substantial part of the rally was the Cherohala Skyway. Less technically demanding than The Dragon’s Tail, the fast, sweeping corners open to frequent views of the North Carolina mountains. The Skyway is a joy to drive quickly, and we were for the most part totally alone for the 42 miles of smooth bends, straights, and stirring views. By the time we got to the Skyway, we had already endured/enjoyed 150 miles of tight, winding B-roads, and the frequent pull-offs and good sight lines between corners were a boon.
Video of the Foothills Parkway, The Dragon’s Tail, and the Cherohala Skyway will be coming shortly.
